A New Recovery Suite For North Devon
The Details:
Brand new to the gym is a new recovery suite, to aid recovery and mental wellbeing. In this brand new room we have kitted it out with an infrared sauna, ice bath walk-in shower and changing cubicles.
The recovery suite is available for use during manned hours on a pre-booked basis. Sessions are 45 minutes long, and the room has a capacity of 4 people maximum. Please note that only one person at a time can be in the ice bath.
We regret that we can only allow individuals over the age of 18 to use this room.
Price:
£10 per slot
To guarantee more privacy we do allow individuals to book multiple slots in a session (subject to availability). I.e. a private session would cost £40. For this, you would have to make 4 bookings for your chosen slot.

- Furthermore, cold water therapy conditions the brain to cope better with stress as it may assist in decreasing the production of inflammatory cytokines which have been linked to anxiety and depression.
Individuals who are strength training to build muscle may wish to ensure a suitable gap of multiple hours after a training session before using the ice bath as it may limit the benefits of their training session.

The recovery suite has an infrared sauna fitted which also may have some health benefits.
